traffic.com

Car trips in busy and highly populated cities is a real drag. One website that helps you check traffic levels before you take off to do battle, will send you text alert messages while you are on the road.

The service can be set up to send regular text messages updates. The messages let you know if the roads on approach are congested. The site at traffic.com is free to use, but standard text-messaging rates are charged to your mobile device. Happy driving!

Worst Plastic Surgery

Man it never ceases to amaze me that people can be so cruel to themselves. Over at oddee.com they have a pictures of the 10 Worst Plastic Surgery Disasters. I really feel sorry for most of them and I can't imagine what it would be like to wake up every morning and look at yourself in the mirror and be constantly reminded of the disfigurement and scares when what was expected was totally the opposite.

I hope the strength of human compassion and understanding will help people to see that real beauty lies deep within us all and not just on our surface.

Earthquake California

A magnitude 4.7 earthquake was detected by seismologists with an epee center in the Inglewood area in the city of Los Angeles on Sunday 18th May 2009 around 8:40pm. The Newport-Inglewood fault zone is well known for its geological activity and could be the source of the earthquake. There were also a number of aftershocks that have been detected that will help the seismologists to pin point the exact location.

Earthquake Central has a great map that shows earthquake locations and other information about earthquakes in the LA area.

Sharkscope

Sharkscope a computer software program that tracks internet poker players and their performance statistics. You can find out how much the person has won or lost over a lifetime of playing on a particular site if you know their username.

You can look up all the poker players statistics for player you are playing against in near real time. You can also use it to check out your won statistics to discover which games you win or lose in.

Sharkscope has been banned on a few poker sites but it is hard to enforce a total ban.

Is it cheating? Well that depends on your point of view. Does it give you an unfair advantage? Maybe, but in the end it all comes down to skill and chance.

You can check out www.sharkscope.com, the most complete database of online poker results in the world.
